On October 26th 2022, M/v TAMPA TRIUMPH with 366m in length and a tonnage of 150,709 DWT was successfully accommodated at Cai Mep International Terminal (CMIT) to handle cargoes connecting Vietnam to the US market. This is the first mother vessel of Evergreen ever to call CMIT as well as the pilot call of the potential service to US East Coast which is in the deployment plan by Evergreen.

After 54 years in the shipping industry since its establishment on 1st Sep 1968, the Taiwanese-container-shipping-line Evergreen is currently the world’s 6th biggest container line with a combined fleet capacity of more than 1.5 million TEUs and an intensive global shipping network. Being a deep-see port cluster for long haul services, Cai Mep is operating overall 33 weekly services in which 23 services connecting Vietnam directly to the US market. With stably high productivity, safe operation and and top service quality, CMIT in particular and Cai Mep in general are gaining high interest from international shipping lines to diversify their service network and meet shipping demand from customers in Vietnam.
