On 16 June 2026, Cai Mep International Terminal (CMIT) successfully and safely accommodated the M/v MAERSK CAP JACKSON, a 59,336 DWT vessel with a capacity of 4,600 TEU. This marks the maiden call of Maersk’s standalone seasonal TPX service, providing a direct connection between Vietnam, South Korea, and the U.S. West Coast via the streamlined port rotation: Cai Mep – Busan – Long Beach – Cai Mep. 

  

As Maersk’s only standalone service on the Transpacific trade lane during this period, the TPX service, together with the 8 existing weekly services calling at CMIT, further demonstrates the confidence that shipping lines place in CMIT’s operational capabilities and service excellence.
