WHAT WE NEED?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/logistics/marketing.
  • 1 or 2 years selling/training in Business to Business or related sales experiences in a shipping lines, logistics or freight forwarding company.
  • Preferred skills & background in logistics or shipping, freight forwarding, port/ICD service background with the ability to develop large account opportunities. Professional training in Value Vision or Solution Selling a plus.
  • Good command of English - speaking, writing and presentation skills.
  • Good skills in time management and organization.
  • Ability to close business while achieving a high level of customer and partner satisfaction.
  • Good understanding of public relations between different stakeholders and the company is essential.
  • A general understanding of basic business practices is essential.
  • Requires excellent computer skills, including keyboard and all associated software.
  • Must have high level of organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and other related applications.
  • Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of co-workers and individuals.

 

WHAT YOU DO?

 

  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with assigned clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Manage and grow existing customers as well as identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Work closely with suppliers/vendors and internal departments to develop new services, new projects, and close new business opportunities.
  • Prepare service quotations for shipping lines and BCOs, including breakbulk, arising charges and value-added services; handle and follow up on service delivery.
  • Conducts data analysis and prepares reports.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with relevant departments as necessary to perform business duties.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Contributes to improvements in systems, practices, and approaches. Works with the Operations Department to positively influence productivity and work methods to meet customer needs.
